
Europol, in collaboration with the French police, has arrested the administrator of the Russian-language hacking forum XSS.is operating in Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The XSS.is forum, active since 2013, is considered one of the most important resources among anonymous hackers and had over 50,000 users. Through this forum, hackers engaged in selling hacking tools, stolen data, and illegal services.
Europol's statement emphasized that the forum had a significant impact on global cybercrime. A long-term investigation initiated by France in 2021 was conducted in close cooperation with the European Union.
A person who was active as the forum administrator in Kyiv has been arrested. According to Europol, this individual played a crucial role in organizing criminal activities, mediating to resolve disputes among criminals, and ensuring the security of transactions.
Additionally, it is also suspected that he managed a special online communication service for cybercriminals. This arrest is an important step in ensuring global cybersecurity and serves as an example of successful efforts against cybercrime.
