US President Donald Trump has given Russian President Vladimir Putin a clear deadline of 10 days to end the war. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Trump announced this through the White House press service. According to the president, if a peace agreement is signed within the next 10 days, the war will be halted.
Otherwise, the US will be forced to impose new tariffs and secondary sanctions against Russia. According to Trump, it is currently unclear how these measures will affect the Russian economy, but Washington is standing firm and resolute.
Trump also indicated that new sanctions and economic restrictions could begin in the coming days. He added that he is not concerned about how this process will affect raw material markets.
The US president emphasized that the deadline started today and that Russia must make a clear decision within 10 days. On July 28, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the negotiations in Istanbul, stating that there was no progress between Russia and Ukraine.
For this reason, countries that continue business relations with Russia have been warned that they may face new sanctions. It is worth noting that Trump had previously given Russia a 50-day deadline on July 14 and also promised to supply new weapons to Ukraine.
However, this deadline has now been shortened to 10 days. The global community is closely monitoring Washington's next steps and the events regarding the cessation of hostilities between Moscow and Kyiv.
Trump's sharp statements are raising new pressures and complex questions in international politics
