Putin is ready to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers at Trump's request

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he is ready to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers located in the Kursk region at the request of former US leader Donald Trump. He emphasized this during a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on March 14.
"If an order is given to surrender weapons to Ukrainian soldiers, their lives will be guaranteed"
According to Putin, in order to fulfill Trump's request, the Ukrainian leadership must give the appropriate order to their military to surrender their weapons and capitulate. He noted that if the Ukrainian army surrenders, their lives will be preserved under guarantee.
Trump, in his statement on social media, wrote about "thousands of Ukrainian soldiers being surrounded" and mentioned that he had asked Putin to "save their lives." However, he did not specify which exact area of the front he was referring to. Analysts suggest that Trump may have been referring to the Kursk region, where Russian troops are attacking.
Reports from the Kursk region and the statement of the Ukrainian General Staff
According to videos circulated from the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have retreated from most of their positions in the area. Currently, Ukrainian soldiers are only controlling the "Sudja" border crossing point and several surrounding villages. There are reports that the supply of the Ukrainian army in this area has become difficult due to drone strikes from the RF Armed Forces. However, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, the information about encirclement is not true and should be assessed as political pressure.
"Our soldiers are effectively repelling enemy attacks and firing from all types of weapons," the Ukrainian General Staff stated. It was also emphasized that on March 14, there were 13 combat clashes in the Kursk direction and that there is no risk of encirclement for the Ukrainian forces.
Zelensky: The operation in the Kursk region has achieved its goal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the situation in the Kursk region, stating that the actions of the UAF in this area have achieved their goal. According to him, the entry of the Ukrainian army into the Kursk region has ensured stability in the Pokrovsk and Kharkov directions.
"It will not be easy for the enemy to find another opportunity to threaten Pokrovsk," Zelensky said. According to him, the Ukrainian forces are taking effective actions to maintain their positions, and the situation is currently under control.
The situation in the Kursk region remains uncertain, and time will show how military actions will unfold in the coming days.
