Zelensky talked about what the Russian troops are planning to do

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that Russian troops are trying to encircle military personnel in the Kursk direction within Ukrainian territory. He made a statement regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin's plans in this regard. This was reported by "Ukrainskaya pravda".
"In my opinion, the Russian side aims to encircle Ukrainian military personnel specifically in this direction, that is, in the Kursk direction, within Ukrainian territory. The most important thing is that our troops and command are aware of this, and we clearly understand where they intend to carry it out. Naturally, they want to be as present as possible in Ukrainian territory, and there is nothing new about that," Zelensky said at a briefing.
Zelensky referred to the information about Ukrainian troops being encircled in the Kursk region as “Putin's lie.” He emphasized that the operations of the Ukrainian army are ongoing in the region.
"Today, I am grateful that our intelligence data aligns. We discussed that the claims about the presence of Ukrainian military in the Kursk region and their encirclement are Putin's lies. There is no encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region," Zelensky stated.
The Russian army is preparing to strike the Sumy region
According to the Ukrainian president, the buildup of Russian troops along Ukraine's eastern border indicates that they are planning an attack on the Sumy region.
"We see that the Russian army is gathering forces. This indicates a desire to strike the Sumy region. We understand this and are ready to resist. All partners need to understand what Putin is planning, what he is preparing for, and what he is neglecting," Zelensky said.
He noted that the buildup of Russian forces indicates Moscow's intention to disregard diplomacy.
"It is clear that the war is being prolonged by Russia. We are ready to provide our partners with all real information about the situation on the front, in the Kursk region, and along the border," he added.
On March 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he would agree to halt military operations in Ukraine for 30 days under one condition. According to him, this proposal could only be accepted if it leads to long-term peace.
The military situation between Ukraine and Russia remains at the center of international political discussions. The political situation and the progress of military actions are being closely monitored by partners and international observers.
