Uitkoff: When Trump was shot at, Putin prayed for him

Russian President Vladimir Putin gifted a portrait to US President Donald Trump and stated that he prayed for him when the assassination attempt occurred. This was revealed by Trump's special representative Steve Uitkoff in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson.
During the conversation, Uitkoff emphasized that he does not consider Putin a bad person. In his opinion, the war was caused not by one individual but by several factors.
Uitkoff recalled that his second visit to Russia was "personal," as during the meeting, Putin presented him with a portrait of Trump drawn by a Russian artist and asked him to deliver it to the American president. Additionally, Putin mentioned that he prayed for Trump when the assassination attempt took place.
“He prayed not because he was or could be the US president, but because he was his friend. He prayed for his friend... When I returned home, I conveyed this message to the president and handed over the portrait. Undoubtedly, it affected him,” said Uitkoff.
According to the special representative, this "kind gesture" restored the "connection" between Trump and Putin.
