The meeting of the delegations of Ukraine and the USA has started in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Ar-Riyadh. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov.

“Today we are working on a number of complex technical issues — our delegation includes experts in energy, as well as representatives of the naval and air forces,” Umerov said.

The minister added that the negotiations are dedicated to discussing proposals on the security of energy and infrastructure facilities.

US representatives will also hold a meeting with the Russian delegation on March 24. According to Kit Kellogg, Trump's special representative for Ukraine, the US is organizing indirect negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia to better understand each side's conditions.

This round of negotiations will primarily focus on a 30-day ceasefire on energy facilities, as well as halting military actions at sea.

Steve Witkoff, the US president's special representative, stated that “real progress” is expected during the negotiations with Russia. He reiterated the position emphasized by Donald Trump that Russian President Vladimir Putin “wants peace.”
