Trump and Zelensky began peace negotiations
A face-to-face meeting took place between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The meeting lasted approximately one hour, after which they began negotiations in cooperation with European leaders. This meeting is significant not only for the two heads of state but also for ensuring peace and stability throughout the region.

Donald Trump described the negotiations as effective and successful. He expressed hope to reach agreements on holding a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Russia, the European Union, and Ukraine.

According to the US president, such meetings are an important step toward achieving peace and strengthening stability. Trump emphasized that the summit held in Alaska inspired confidence in achieving peace.

He stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed readiness to accept security guarantees for Ukraine. Additionally, Putin and Zelensky may reach a consensus on resolving the conflict in Ukraine through peaceful means.

According to Trump, the next important stage will be a trilateral meeting regarding Ukraine. He expressed confidence that following this meeting, there will be no acts of aggression by Russia against Ukraine.

Alongside the Ukrainian president, the meeting was attended by German Chancellor Friedrich Mers, British Prime Minister Kir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. These discussions are aimed at making important decisions in international politics and ensuring lasting peace for Europe and the entire world.
