On Tuesday evening, a serious traffic accident involving a bus and other vehicles took place in Western Herat. As a result, 71 people died, including 17 children.
Ahmadulla Muttaki, a representative of the provincial administration, provided details of the incident. The traffic accident involved a bus transporting deported migrants to Kabul.
While the bus was moving, it collided with a truck and a motorcycle, causing a fire. Witnesses and local residents said they saw horrific scenes at the accident site.
According to reports, the bus carried refugees recently deported from Iran. Most of them were waiting to be taken to a safe area.
However, this accident seriously endangered their lives and caused deep grief to many families. The local government and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, took the injured to the hospital, and took necessary measures to extinguish the fire.
At the same time, an investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the disaster. This tragedy once again highlighted the urgent issues of road safety and the transport system in the country.
