Mark Anthony Kirby, a 38-year-old resident of Prescot, United Kingdom, died as a result of a venomous spider bite. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Liverpool Echo publication reported this. Mark Kirby was active in family life and was the father of an 18-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter.
According to his ex-girlfriend and mother of his children, Kaylee Gill, Kirby noticed he was poisoned by the spider bite but did not seek medical help. Currently, investigations including an autopsy are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
The deceased's family stated that a few days after the poisoning, they traveled to Scotland. During the trip, Kirby felt unwell and tired but continued joking during dinners at restaurants.
On July 26, after the family returned to Prescot, Mark developed flu-like symptoms such as high fever, chills, shivering, and pain in his arms and legs. On August 2, his sister Kate noticed he was having difficulty breathing and called an ambulance.
When the doctors arrived, it was not possible to save Mark's life. According to Kaylee Gill, Kirby had purchased several types of spiders online a few weeks before his death.
So far, there is no information about which species of spiders he bought. This tragedy has sparked significant public discussion.
Many received the incident with shock and sorrow, while some emphasized the need to pay special attention to safety in relationships between humans and animals.
