Artificial intelligence dolls distributed in South Korea
Artificial intelligence dolls have begun to be distributed in South Korea for the elderly and patients suffering from dementia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This innovative technology is being used as an important tool in the fight against loneliness. The doll named Hyodol, developed based on ChatGPT, is used daily by more than 12,000 pensioners across the country.

This device enables interactive communication in the lives of pensioners. The dolls ask pensioners about their mood and physical condition every day and monitor their status.

Special sensors record movement, and if no movement is detected for a day, an automatic message is sent to emergency services and close relatives. Additionally, the system detects signs of depression in a person's mental state and provides early warnings.

The main goal is to establish constant communication with the person and provide psychological support. Independent research has shown that conversations with Hyodol are effective in reducing symptoms of depression and dementia.

Social workers emphasize that the opportunity to talk is very important for the elderly, as sometimes they do not even share their feelings with their children. However, there are also some difficulties related to the new technology.

Many pensioners accept the dolls as personal friends and have developed habits such as dressing them, preparing food for them, and even worrying when they are broken. According to the CEO of the manufacturing company, some pensioners have even requested to be buried with their dolls.

Elderly people suffering from dementia take the doll's words literally. Therefore, developers had to restrict certain provocative phrases in the chatbot.

Analysts believe that by 2030, the market for artificial intelligence robots caring for the elderly is expected to reach 7.7 billion US dollars. Hyodol dolls are important not only for reducing loneliness but also for organizing the daily lives of the elderly and providing additional information to family members.

This is a vivid example of the effective application of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in human life.
