New threats related to Russia's policy against Europe and its defense capabilities may become clearly visible in the coming years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Kirill Budanov, head of the Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Russia has been implementing the largest and most comprehensive rearmament program for many years. The acceleration phase of this process has been extended until 2030.
He stated this in an interview with the Apostrof TV channel. According to Budanov, although such a threat is not openly visible to European countries at the moment, this forecast is based on Russia's strategic plans.
He said that Russia continues its planning and preparation work. This process is carried out systematically and includes a long-term strategy.
The head of the Intelligence Directorate also noted that the European side is aware of this threat. In his opinion, European countries are currently aware of Russia's plans, but their response will become clear over time.
This could have a significant impact on the regional and international political situation. As Budanov emphasized, a large-scale weapons development program is currently being developed in Russia.
This program envisions rearming the Russian Federation until 2037. The acceleration phase is set until 2030.
This program is one of the largest and most important projects being implemented since the 1980s. Currently, it depends not only on the Ministry of Defense's budget but also on the entire modern armament strategy of the Russian Federation.
According to Budanov, approximately 1.2 trillion dollars are allocated for this program. This requires not only significant economic resources but also strategic and military potential.
At the same time, it openly demonstrates Russia's goals and plans regarding modern armament and rearmament.
