If the US attempts to strike Iran or incite an uprising from within, it will face a "strong retaliatory strike." This was announced by Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Monday, according to Reuters.
"There has always been hostility from the US and Israel. They threaten to attack us, and we consider this unlikely. However, if they are determined to do so, they will face a strong counterattack," Khamenei said.
Khamenei also warned that thoughts of inciting an uprising within Iran should not be overlooked.
"If they (the US) are thinking of starting an uprising within the country as they have in previous years, the Iranian people will deal with them themselves," he said.
On March 30, US President Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iran if it does not reach an agreement on its nuclear program.
Previously, Iranian President Masoud Pizishkian rejected direct negotiations with the US regarding the nuclear program but stated that there is a possibility of establishing indirect contacts.
