Following the latest warning from US President Donald Trump, the Palestinian HAMAS movement announced its readiness for rapid negotiations to halt the armed conflict in the Gaza Strip and release all prisoners. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In an official statement released on September 7, HAMAS emphasized that it had previously accepted a series of proposals from the United States through intermediaries aimed at ceasing fire. These proposals created an opportunity to reach an agreement to stop the war.
On October 7, 2023, HAMAS set three main demands to Israel in exchange for releasing the captured Israelis: cessation of armed actions, complete withdrawal of troops from the Gaza territory, and the establishment of a committee composed of independent Palestinians to govern the sector. On the same morning, Trump announced on his social media that the terms of the agreement proposed by Israel had been accepted and called on HAMAS to agree to them as well.
According to Trump, this is his final warning, and there will be no other opportunities. Thus, a new phase may begin in the situation, as the relations between both sides and Trump's firm stance are likely to determine the fate of the clashes in Gaza.
