
A unique supercar collection belonging to former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was showcased at a major auction held in Damascus. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The auction was officially opened by the new head of state, Ahmad Ash-Shara. The funds raised from the event are planned to be directed to the Syrian Development Fund and to contribute to the country's economic growth.
According to experts, this initiative is not only interesting for car collectors but also makes a significant contribution to the country's development. In the first phase of the auction, three supercars from world-famous brands were presented.
The most valuable among them is the Ferrari F50, estimated to be worth around 3-4 million dollars. This car was developed based on Formula 1 technologies and is distinguished by the fact that only 349 units exist worldwide.
Additionally, the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series was also put up for sale at the auction. With only 300 units produced worldwide, this car is equipped with a high-performance engine producing 670 horsepower, and its market value is approximately 500 thousand dollars.
Another notable piece in the collection is the Audi R8, which features a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 525 horsepower and was received with great interest by car enthusiasts. This auction became historically significant as one of the largest and most impressive car sales in Syria.
Experts emphasize that this auction is important not only for car collectors but also positively impacts the country's economic and cultural development. Thus, the event marked an important step towards economic stability and cultural progress in the country's new era.
