A woman was suspected of fighting on the Ukrainian side in Russia

According to Russian government data, a woman living in the country has been detained on suspicion of treason. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Investigative authorities stated that she intended to fight in the Ukrainian army and traveled to neighboring Kazakhstan for this purpose. It is reported that the suspect met a Ukrainian serviceman online and expressed her desire to join the Ukrainian army during their conversations.

Later, she traveled to Kazakhstan and underwent military training. According to investigation data, after the training, the woman returned to Russia and headed towards the Ukrainian border.

However, Russian intelligence officers detained her approximately 100 meters from the Ukrainian army positions. A criminal case was initiated against the suspect under the charges of "Attempted treason" and "Attempted illegal crossing of the state border."

Investigators emphasize that these charges are considered serious crimes under Russian law and carry the penalty of long-term imprisonment. Additionally, Russian investigative authorities have requested legal assistance from Kazakh officials regarding the case.

This is being carried out in cooperation with the neighboring state to determine the suspect's actions and movement routes.
