Several security officials were removed from their positions in the USA
Several senior officials of the US National Security Council were removed from their positions on April 3, according to Reuters.
"According to three people familiar with the situation, several directors of the National Security Council were dismissed on Thursday morning," the report states.
Sources did not provide specific details about the reasons for the dismissals, but two sources linked the situation to the results of investigations into the officials. Among those who left their positions is senior director for technology and national security David Fait.
In recent weeks, several controversies have arisen related to Donald Trump's team. Notably, the US president's national security advisor Mike Volts has been mentioned in questionable situations twice. Initially, he was referenced in the leak of classified information regarding strikes against Houthis in Yemen. Later, it was revealed that his aides discussed military matters via personal Gmail.
Following this, reports circulated in the media that some individuals in the administration are calling for Mike Volts' resignation.
