The Gen Z generation is experiencing sleepless nights due to financial worries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to a survey by Amerisleep company, 70 percent of this generation cannot sleep well because of money-related stress. Their concerns are not limited to rising prices but also include complex issues such as inflation and unemployment.
Nevertheless, many do not think about creating financial reserves or managing a budget. Most young people spend their time watching series or browsing social networks.
More than half of the survey participants expressed the opinion, "I can't change anything, I just think about it." At the same time, spending time on phones and other devices throughout the night does not reduce stress; on the contrary, it causes it to increase.
Every third young person tries to calm down by looking at a screen instead of being active. Officials do not consider this situation safe and evaluate it as an escape method that disrupts sleep and worsens mental state.
Experts recommend a method called the "worry window." Writing down anxious thoughts for 15-20 minutes a day and trying to find solutions improves sleep quality.
Also, setting a "curfew" for the phone and placing gadgets in another room can be beneficial. Setting small goals is important to increase financial stability.
For example, it is possible to save a small amount of money or pay off a small debt. Researchers emphasize that "knowledge reduces anxiety."
They remind that it is necessary to take control, stop calculating and guessing. These simple steps help reduce financial stress.
