President Donald Trump stated at a press conference that if Republicans and Democrats in Congress fail to reach an agreement on funding the federal budget, government operations could be temporarily suspended starting from October 1. According to Trump, negotiations are ongoing, but there is also a possibility of a temporary closure of the country's government.

During this period, special attention will be given to military and social security issues. If the government shuts down, funding for initiatives proposed by the Democrats will become impossible.

At the same time, federal programs and support in social areas may also be temporarily halted. The President also drew attention to the processes in the Senate.

The bill approved by the House of Representatives must also be confirmed in the Senate. Currently, Republicans hold 53 votes in the Senate, but at least 60 votes are needed for the bill to pass.

Therefore, support from Democratic senators is important, but their approval is noted to be low. Experts believe that a temporary government shutdown could negatively affect financial stability and the functioning of public services.
