France officially recognized the State of Palestine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
President Emmanuel Macron spoke at the United Nations General Assembly, emphasizing that there is no basis for continuing the war in Gaza. He stressed the need to establish peace and a two-state solution.
Additionally, United States President Donald Trump is also expected to speak at the Assembly. Belgium, Luxembourg, and several other European countries are also on the verge of making decisions regarding the recognition of Palestine.
According to Macron, stopping the war, releasing hostages, and preserving the possibility for the Israeli and Palestinian peoples to live side by side in peace are among the most important tasks. Saudi Arabia also supported the two-state solution as the only sustainable path.
Israel strongly criticized the decision to recognize Palestine, calling it a "reward for Hamas." At the same time, the European Union announced the launch of a new financial aid mechanism aimed at rebuilding Gaza.
These developments demonstrate the continuation of international efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region. The role of the international community is crucial in resolving the conflicts between Palestine and Israel.
