Job opportunities in the AQSH engineering sector will increase by 8 percent

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics announced in a report for 2025–2035 that the number of engineering jobs is expected to increase by 8 percent. One.uz reports this.
This rate is more than twice as fast as the overall employment growth rate across the country. The development of artificial intelligence and automation has not reduced the demand for engineers; on the contrary, it has elevated them to the ranks of the most sought-after professionals.
Fastest-growing engineering fields According to the report, the highest growth is expected in industrial engineering, where approximately 45.4 thousand new jobs will be created. Mechanical engineering will grow at a rate of 11 percent, electrical engineering by 10 percent, and computer hardware engineering by 9 percent.
Aerospace engineering, bioengineering, and materials engineering each grow by 8 percent. Agricultural engineering shows a rate of 7 percent, while construction engineering shows a rate of 6 percent.
Difference between percentages and actual jobs Experts note that a high growth rate in percentage does not always mean a large number of new positions. In construction engineering, a 6 percent growth rate provides approximately 24.5 thousand new jobs because of the large scale of the field.
In agricultural engineering, a 7 percent rate creates only nearly 100 additional specialist requirements because it is a relatively specialized field. General market trend The fastest-growing sector in the entire labor market is healthcare support services, with employment projected to increase by 13.3 percent.
This is due to an aging population and increased demand for medical services. All the provided calculations are net growth forecasts in the US market and indicate strategic directions for young people choosing a career in the future.
