Macron and Trump commented on the Ukraine war

In his statement, he emphasized significant changes in the speaking style of US President Donald Trump towards Russia. According to Macron, Trump believes not only in the resilience of the Ukrainian people but also in their ability to defend their rights and territorial integrity.

The French leader also positively assessed Trump's remarks about the weakening of the Russian economy and the losses suffered by Moscow's troops. He noted that despite thousands of casualties in the war lasting over 1,000 days, Russia controls only one percent of Ukraine's territory.

On the same day, Donald Trump also addressed the public, emphasizing that with the support of the European Union and NATO, Ukraine can regain its historic borders. He announced this on the social network Truth Social after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Trump, with time, patience, and financial aid, Ukraine can restore its territories. He reminded that Russia has been waging war for three and a half years and noted that a strong army would need less than a week to achieve such a victory.

These statements have strengthened unity among Western countries and increased the likelihood of heightened political pressure on Russia on the international stage. These developments further highlight the ongoing complexity of the war and changes in global politics.
