
On April 15-16, an important meeting on security in the Black Sea will take place in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, CNN Turk reported.
Representatives from Russia and Ukraine may also participate in the meeting. However, the parties have not yet officially confirmed this. It has not been clarified whether this meeting will be held directly or indirectly.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that negotiations will be held in Ankara with the participation of foreign military delegations to ensure security and peace in the Black Sea. The list of states has not been disclosed.
According to the ministry's report, the negotiations will take place at the Turkish Naval Command. Issues related to naval planning for ensuring peace in the Black Sea will be discussed.
On March 23-25, the US held separate negotiations in Saudi Arabia with Russian and Ukrainian delegations, and the parties indicated that they might agree to cease fire in the Black Sea in the next phase.
In return, Russia is demanding the lifting of sanctions and the connection of Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT. Ukrainian President Zelensky accused Russia of "already starting manipulation."
