Israeli strike led to peace through US mediation
According to Politico, Israel's strike on the Qatari capital a month ago not only intensified the regional political situation but also prompted active diplomatic intervention by the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

As a result, the shootings in the Gaza Strip were halted. According to reports, on September 9, Israel carried out an airstrike on Doha, the capital of Qatar.

In this attack, Israeli forces targeted the main leaders of HAMAS who planned the terrorist attack that occurred on October 7, 2023. It was reported that five people, including the son of the movement's negotiator and a Qatar security service officer, were killed by the group.

Following this incident, Qatar accused Israel of a cowardly attack and threatened to withdraw from mediation regarding Gaza. Israel, in turn, claimed that Qatar was harboring terrorists.

Nevertheless, at a time of heightened tension, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially apologized from Doha at the end of the month. As Politico emphasized, this event became a turning point in the diplomatic process.

US President Donald Trump took advantage of the situation, exerted strong pressure on Israel, and contributed to accelerating the peace process. According to White House sources, Trump forced Israel to stop firing after the strike on Doha.

According to sources, the president acted decisively, applying pressure on Israel until it had no choice but to agree to peace. Consequently, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10.

In the first phase, HAMAS will release Israeli captives, while Israel will free Palestinian prisoners and withdraw its troops to agreed lines. Analysts are calling this process the “diplomatic domino that started with the Qatar strike.”

This event opened a new chapter not only in Israeli politics but also in Donald Trump's international standing.
