An armed clash occurred at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the Pakistan Ministry of Defence, Afghan militants attacked positions in the border area. As a result of this attack, 23 Pakistani soldiers were killed, and 29 others were injured.

The incident took place on October 11, and it is known that groups affiliated with the "Taliban" movement participated on the Afghan side. The Pakistan army responded with a counterattack, and during the several-hour-long clash, the Afghan side reportedly suffered more than 200 casualties.

The Ministry of Defence statement said that Pakistani forces successfully repelled the attack and temporarily established control over 21 posts. Currently, security measures have been strengthened in the border area, and the situation remains tense.

This event negatively affects peace and stability in the region. The Pakistan government is taking necessary measures to control the situation and ensure border security.

Negotiations between the two countries are ongoing to stabilize the situation in the region.
