SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has once again expressed his thoughts on the colonization of Mars, humanity's greatest dream. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, achieving this grand goal will require the participation of at least one hundred thousand volunteers. Musk called on humanity to prepare for life beyond Earth on his X social media page.
He emphasized that the Starship rocket system is the only platform capable of transporting people to Mars, and this project is one of the most important steps forward for humanity. Elon Musk shared these views in response to journalist Eric Berger's remark, "I am not confident in Starship's success."
He confirmed that the Starship spacecraft is the only means capable of taking people beyond Earth's orbit, but also admitted that his confidence in the project's successful implementation is somewhat limited. According to Musk, merely reaching Mars is not enough; creating real conditions for human life there is crucial.
The businessman stated that a group of at least one hundred thousand people is necessary to establish an independent colony on Mars. This group will be the first founders of a new society, striving to continue the life experience accumulated on Earth on another planet.
In addition, along with the people sent to Mars, at least one million tons of cargo must be sent from Earth's orbit. This cargo includes construction materials, energy systems, water supply equipment, and food production technologies.
Within the framework of SpaceX, hundreds of flights are planned to be carried out using the Starship spacecraft. Their main goal is to create a stable and comfortable living environment on Mars.
Elon Musk calls this plan humanity's survival strategy. In his opinion, limiting ourselves to Earth alone is dangerous because if humanity establishes life on other planets, its future will be much more stable.
According to Musk, it is necessary to acknowledge that one day life on Earth may disappear. Therefore, Mars is considered a potential second home for humanity.
Experts emphasize that Elon Musk's plan is technically complex and enormous, but the recent Starship tests conducted by SpaceX have increased the likelihood of this idea becoming a reality. A flight to Mars is no longer a myth but a scientific project being implemented step by step.
For Elon Musk, this is not just business but a mission to transfer humanity's future to other planets.
