
On November 5, 2025, at the U-17 World Championship taking place in Qatar, the Uzbekistan national team successfully began their participation. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Our team played against Paraguay's youth in their first match of the tournament and won with a score of 2:1. The national team, led by Islam Ismoilov, acted disciplined and precise throughout the match.
In the 25th minute of the game, Azizbek Abdumuminov scored from outside the penalty area with a powerful shot, opening the score. In this situation, Abubakir Shukurollayev’s active pressing played a major role, as he took the ball from the opponent and made an accurate pass to Abdumuminov.
At the end of the first half, in the 45+2 minute, Muhammadali Musaxonov’s goal brought the score to 2:0. This goal was also the successful result of the team’s collective play.
In the second half, the Paraguay team tried to intensify their attacks and increased the pressure. However, goalkeeper Nemat Rustamjonov saved several dangerous shots and managed to keep the goal intact.
In the 87th minute, the referee awarded a penalty in favor of Paraguay with the help of VAR technology, and the opponent reduced the score. Nevertheless, the Uzbekistan team finished the game with discipline and secured an important victory.
Goals in the match: 25th minute Abdumuminov (assist by Shukurollayev), 45+2 minute Musaxonov, 89th minute Paraguay (penalty). This victory gave the Uzbekistan national team their first three points in the tournament and created a good opportunity for the team to advance to the next stage.
