Uzbekistan has opened an air route for exporting new fruits and vegetables from Afghanistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Atlas Press reports on this. The air route was established based on an agreement reached between officials of Surxondaryo region and Balkh province of Afghanistan.
This new route provides Afghan entrepreneurs with the opportunity to deliver their products to major international markets such as Russia, China, and India. The Uzbek side has announced its readiness to provide practical assistance to Afghan exporters in transporting their cargo.
Additionally, experts have emphasized that the closure of border crossing points with Pakistan, especially during the peak export season, has caused significant damage to Afghanistan's economy. Therefore, the newly established air route is expected to play an important role in enhancing Afghanistan's export potential.
This cooperation will also serve to further strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
