In the fourth round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, the Barcelona team took the field against the Brugge club in Belgium. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The match was very exciting and dramatic, ending in a 3-3 draw. However, an extraordinary incident that occurred before the game sparked more discussions.
It turned out that the bus transporting Barcelona fans from Spain to the stadium caught fire on the way. According to witnesses, the fire was caused by flares lit inside the bus.
The flames quickly spread to the fuel system, engulfing the entire cabin in flames. Fans were evacuated as a result of the incident, and there are no reports of serious injuries.
However, it was observed that the fans arrived late to the game. Due to the incident, security measures were strengthened around the Jan Breydel Stadium.
The Barcelona club issued an official statement regarding the event. The club confirmed that the bus carrying the fans broke down due to the flares and informed that the fans had to reach their destinations independently.
The club expressed regret over the situation and announced that strict measures will be taken in the future to ensure fan safety. Additionally, Barcelona emphasized the importance of maintaining a culture of peace and responsibility both on and off the field.
Thus, although the draw in Brugge was an important result from a sporting perspective, the bus fire will be remembered by the fans as an event that will stay in their memories for a long time.
