Syrian President Ahmad ash-Shar’a has arrived in the US capital Washington for an official visit. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to information, on November 10, Ahmad ash-Shar’a will hold a meeting at the White House with US President Donald Trump. It is noted that warmth has been observed in relations between Washington and Damascus prior to the visit. In particular, on November 7, the US administration lifted personal sanctions previously imposed on Ahmad ash-Shar’a.
Additionally, the UN Security Council also adopted a decision to lift international restrictions against the Syrian president. According to analysts, this visit could be an important step towards restoring diplomatic relations between Syria and the US.
