According to him, payments of at least 2000 dollars will be made to every American citizen from the revenues generated by customs tariffs. He announced this on the social network Truth Social.

Trump emphasized that these payments will be given to all Americans except high-income individuals. He also condemned critics of tariff policy, noting that the national debt can be paid off in a short time through customs revenues.

According to Trump, the United States is capable of earning trillions of dollars through tariffs, which will lead the country's economy to a new stage of development. It is worth recalling that in April 2025, Trump announced plans to introduce new customs tariffs for certain countries.

According to him, this measure is aimed at protecting US interests and freeing the country from years of economic pressure.
