According to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the attacker planned to enter the court complex but was forced to detonate the explosive device near a police vehicle. This terrorist act was strongly condemned by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari.

One of the witnesses, lawyer Rustam Malik, stated that people and lawyers near the court building tried to flee to a safe place during the explosion. He said the blast occurred while he was parking his car near the court building.

Burning vehicles and general disorder were observed at the scene. According to witnesses, people panicked and tried to escape to save their lives.

At the same time, it was reported that security measures have been intensified and investigation work is ongoing at the scene.
