On November 13, 2025, Bloomberg reported that a lawsuit had been filed against Google. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The lawsuit accuses the company of illegally collecting users' personal data through the Gemini assistant. According to the plaintiffs, the artificial intelligence tool gathered data from Gmail and personal chats without users' consent.
The lawsuit was filed in the federal court in San Jose, California. The complaint states that in October, Gemini services were secretly activated across all platforms, resulting in Google gaining access to users' private messages.
According to California laws, Google's actions may violate laws prohibiting the secret reading of private communications. The plaintiffs believe that Google is using artificial intelligence to analyze and utilize the entire history of users' messages.
So far, Google representatives have not provided any official comment regarding this class-action lawsuit.
