Information about the latest nuclear test conducted by the US in the summer season has been disclosed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was announced by the Sandia Laboratory under the US Department of Energy. According to official data, modern F-35 fighter jets tested B61-12 type nuclear bombs without combat charges at the Tonopah test site located in Nevada.
These exercises were carried out from August 19 to 21, 2023. The main purpose of the tests was to verify the reliability of the US nuclear arsenal and to improve the skills of pilots.
The service life of B61-12 model bombs was extended by another 20 years in 2024. This situation demonstrates Washington's support of the nuclear program as a long-term strategic direction.
This information once again confirms the US's efforts to maintain its nuclear capabilities.
