
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will make an official visit to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan from November 19 to 22. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by China's CGTN television channel. It is stated that Wang Yi is visiting Central Asia at the invitation of the foreign ministers of these countries.
During the visit, the parties will discuss issues related to further developing mutual cooperation. Additionally, exchanges of views on matters of regional and international significance are planned.
According to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, this visit will enable the implementation of decisions made at the second Central Asia-China summit and the agreements reached between Chinese leader Xi Jinping and the presidents of the three countries. It is also emphasized that under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has reached a new level.
It is worth noting that China became Uzbekistan's largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2023. The trade turnover between the two countries exceeded 11.4 billion US dollars.
During the same period last year, this figure was 9 billion dollars.
