Kyrgyzstan President Sadir Japarov expressed his opinion regarding the complaints about power outages in the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, if major projects had not been implemented in the last five years, today Kyrgyz people might have been left without electricity. The president said in his speech: “If I had not built factories, plants, schools, and kindergartens, there would be enough electricity now.
But it is impossible to imagine a future without such infrastructure.” According to Japarov, the state currently buys electricity from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Turkmenistan at 3.5 soms and supplies it to the population at 1.37 soms.
Despite this being a heavy burden on the state budget, he emphasized that the interests of the citizens come first. Additionally, the head of state announced that specific plans have been developed to solve the problems in the energy sector.
He promised that Kyrgyzstan will completely overcome the electricity supply crisis by 2028 and will have a stable energy system.
