It was reported that 315 children were kidnapped from a Catholic school located in Niger State, Nigeria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Out of these children, 50 managed to escape and return to their families. Currently, military and police forces continue search operations to find the remaining 265 children and 12 teachers.
It has been revealed that armed individuals raided St Mary’s school at 2:00 AM, taking the children and teachers away. Despite warnings regarding security, some schools did not close their dormitories.
This led to serious consequences. Following the incident, the Niger State government decided to temporarily close all schools.
At the same time, efforts are being made to protect the children and strengthen security measures. This event recalls the kidnapping of 276 girls in Chibok in 2014.
Criminal groups' activities in the country have become a serious threat, causing fear among the population. The incident once again highlighted the necessity to reinforce security in all sectors.
