Former US President Donald Trump criticized the Ukrainian leadership for not expressing gratitude for the United States' efforts aimed at resolving the conflict peacefully. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Trump expressed these views on his social network Truth. According to Trump, the Ukrainian leadership has shown no appreciation for US assistance.
He also criticized European countries for continuing to purchase oil from Russia. At the same time, he emphasized that the US continues to supply large quantities of weapons to Ukraine through NATO.
This is not the first time Trump has accused Ukraine of ingratitude. In February, during US-Ukraine negotiations held at the White House, a serious dispute occurred between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During the talks, security guarantees were the main issue, with Zelenskyy stating that agreements on natural resources were insufficient to ensure the country's security and that additional guarantees were necessary. This turned the dialogue into a sharp conflict.
At the end of the negotiations, Trump accused Zelenskyy of disrespect, while US Vice President Mike Pence criticized him for not appreciating the aid. In response, Zelenskyy reminded that he had expressed gratitude for US assistance several times before and noted that Pence had never visited Ukraine.
Due to the disagreement, the Ukrainian delegation was forced to leave the negotiations ahead of schedule.
