Ukraine supported the US peace plan
The Ukrainian government has agreed to support the peace plan proposed by the US President Donald Trump's administration aimed at ending the four-year military conflicts with Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

CBS News, citing US officials, reported this. It is stated that a general agreement was reached during negotiations between Ukrainian presidential adviser Rustem Umerov and US representatives.

According to Umerov, Ukraine supported the peace plan, but additional work is still needed on some issues. Last week, negotiations took place in Geneva with the participation of US and European diplomats.

During the meeting, 19 out of the initial 28 points were retained, and the remaining 9 points were removed. Most of these points served Russian interests and caused objections from the Ukrainian and European sides.

Although detailed information about the removed points was not provided, they included the most controversial provisions. It was also reported that negotiations were held with Russian officials in Abu Dhabi.

NATO and other US allies noted that this plan is still a foundation that needs improvement. The White House confirmed that it developed an updated peace plan as a result of the negotiations.

According to the Ukrainian representative Oleksandr Bevz, all of Kyiv’s objections have been taken into account. Final decisions on the most complex issues will be discussed at the level of Trump and Zelensky.

Additionally, many demands aligned with Russian interests were removed or softened in the draft plan.
