On Tuesday, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The attack caused fires and injured 12 people. According to regional governor Ivan Fedorov, several buildings, shops, and vehicles were damaged as a result of the attack.
The injured were taken to local hospitals and are receiving medical care. Emergency services operated at 12 locations across the city.
The fire department dealt with extinguishing fires in homes and other buildings. Police and medical personnel organized evacuation and assistance efforts.
According to information provided by the administration, the fires have been brought under control. Despite Russian forces controlling a large part of Zaporizhzhia region, the city remains under Ukrainian control.
This attack indicates that the threat to infrastructure and the civilian population in the area continues at an alarming level. At the same time, Yevgeniy Belitskiy, the region's head appointed by Russia, stated that Ukrainian forces struck power grids in areas under Russian control.
As a result, approximately 40,000 people were left without electricity. This situation further confirms ongoing problems with security and services in the region.
