According to Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's visit to the United States is expected to take place at the end of November. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The main purpose of this visit is to meet with US President Donald Trump and make final decisions regarding the peace agreement that has been discussed for a long time. In Geneva, representatives of the US and Ukraine initially reduced a 28-point plan to reach a 19-point general agreement.
However, there are still several important issues that need to be resolved. The Ukrainian side emphasizes that the most complex and decisive matters will be discussed at the level of the two presidents.
These issues include agreements on Ukraine's territorial sovereignty, conditions for exchanging prisoners based on the "all for all" principle, as well as humanitarian matters such as the return of Ukrainian children taken by Russia. Rustem Umerov stated that he hopes to hold this meeting as soon as possible.
White House representatives have confirmed that many issues regarding the peace agreement have been agreed upon in advance. This meeting could be an important step towards ending the conflict that has lasted for four years.
