Uzbekistan plans to pay special attention to the social directions of the budget by 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, the monthly salaries of budget organization employees, as well as the amounts of pensions and benefits, will be ensured to exceed the inflation rate every year. This is an important step aimed at strengthening social support and improving the well-being of the population.
Fiscal rules regarding the budget deficit will be maintained. The budget deficit relative to GDP is not to exceed 3 percent, and the national debt should not exceed 50 percent.
This is considered an important criterion for ensuring economic stability. The education sector will also be expanded.
Specifically, additional funds will be allocated for exact sciences (STEM). In the healthcare sector, modernization and digitization of hospitals will be carried out.
At the same time, funding is planned for the construction of state transport infrastructure, energy, water supply systems, and educational institutions. More authority will be granted to regions for independent budget management.
Additional assistance will be provided to economically lagging regions. At the same time, a system for monitoring the effective and targeted use of funds will be introduced.
These measures will serve to ensure the socio-economic development of the country.
