Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized in a televised address on May 1 that global politics is entering a difficult phase. In his opinion, in the current global situation, uncertainty, brutality, and selfishness are beginning to take their place instead of steadfastness and adherence to clear values.
“We have entered a very complex time. Unfortunately, today in international politics, doubt, indecisiveness, and volatility continue to prevail. Humanitarianism and adherence to values are increasingly being replaced by personal interests and the pursuit of material gain,” Tusk said.
The head of the Polish government noted that he is watching this situation with concern, but emphasized the need to fight against such changes. He pointed out that there is a great responsibility to fight for and protect values in today's world.
Additionally, Donald Tusk addressed the country's economy, promising that the government would take all necessary measures to protect the interests of Polish entrepreneurs and local producers.
“We will strive to create the most favorable conditions in the domestic market for our producers. We also need to pay attention to economic nationalism to strengthen the national economy. There is nothing wrong with this concept; on the contrary, it is of great importance for our economic development,” added the Prime Minister of Poland.
