A tragic road traffic accident occurred on the Subic-Clark-Tarlac expressway located in Tarlac province of the Philippines. As a result of this accident, ten people, four of whom were children, lost their lives. This was reported by Romel Santos, head of the Tarlac police department, to the media.

According to the information provided about how the incident occurred, the bus driver collided violently with a van that was paying the toll to cross the paid road. Due to the strong impact, the van crashed into other vehicles waiting in line, causing several vehicles to be seriously damaged in a chain reaction.

The bodies of the victims were trapped inside their vehicles as a result of the disaster. Special services and rescuers who arrived at the scene had to work for a long time to extract the bodies of the deceased from the vehicles.

According to police chief Santos, the bus driver has been arrested and admitted during the initial questioning that he had fallen asleep at the wheel. Additionally, the passengers on the bus survived with minor injuries.

It has been determined that the bus driver responsible for the accident worked for Solid North Transit Inc. Following the incident, the country's transport minister, Vince Dizon, issued an order to immediately suspend all operations of this company in the Philippines. Investigations are also ongoing.
