Andrey Yermak has resigned from his position as head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He announced this on his Telegram channel. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he accepted Yermak's resignation.
He also stated that consultations regarding the appointment of the new head of the office will be held soon. Yermak's resignation occurred against the backdrop of a corruption scandal in the country's energy sector.
On November 10, Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies released information about an illegal scheme in the energy sector. It was revealed that criminals pressured contractors associated with the "Energoatom" company, demanding the return of 10-15 percent of the contract amount.
This situation caused sharp public criticism. On November 28, searches were conducted at Andrey Yermak's residence in connection with the corruption case.
This process intensified the scandal and led to Yermak's resignation. Information about who will become the new head of the Presidential Office is expected in the coming days.
