The Pari NN team returned from Tolyatti with an important victory. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The team defeated Akron 2:1 in the 17th round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The hosts tried to get back into the game thanks to Artem Dzyuba's goal, but they were unable to improve the result.
The match started actively for Pari NN, and they managed to open the score as early as the 15th minute. Juan Boselli delivered a pass from the right wing into the penalty area, and Daniil Lesovoy received the ball and defeated goalkeeper Gudiev — 0:1.
Soon after, Boselli created another dangerous opportunity. His shot hit the hand of the hosts' defender Maksim Boldyrev.
After reviewing the situation through the VAR system, the referee awarded a penalty. In the 34th minute, Boselli successfully converted the penalty, making the score 0:2.
The hosts tried to respond with active play from Pestraykov and Lesovoy, but these attempts did not yield results. The defenders and goalkeeper Gudiev controlled the situations.
In the second half, Akron improved their play and intensified their attacks. Rocha aimed to deliver more passes to Dzyuba, while Grulev and Olusegun applied pressure from the wings.
Finally, in the 57th minute, the hosts reduced the deficit: Bistrovich made a low pass into the penalty area, and Dzyuba received the ball with his body and sent a precise shot over Medvedev — 1:2. After that, Akron increased their attacks even more.
Rocha, Olusegun, and Grulev had several chances, but their shots either missed the goal or the visiting goalkeeper showed his skill. In the 85th minute, the Nizhny Novgorod team scored a third goal, but after a VAR review, the goal was canceled because Ivlev was offside during Tikich's pass.
In the remaining part of the match, Pari NN fully controlled the game and did not allow Akron's final attacks. Thus, Pari NN secured an important away victory.
