Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that he held a phone conversation with US Special Representative Steve Whitkoff and US Presidential Advisor Jared Kushner. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Zelenskiy described the conversation as “very good and meaningful.” On December 25, the Ukrainian president emphasized on his social media page that important issues were discussed during this dialogue.
According to him, constructive proposals aimed at helping achieve sustainable peace were put forward. Zelenskiy expressed gratitude to the American partners for their open and practical approach, effective cooperation, and for congratulating Ukrainians on the Christmas holiday.
He also noted that Kyiv continues to operate uninterruptedly under the current circumstances. Zelenskiy stated that he is fully mobilized to make all decisions aimed at ending the war effective and reliable.
One day earlier, Zelenskiy had reported that a new and final version of the plan to stop the war between the US and Kyiv had been agreed upon. Currently, this document is being studied by Moscow.
The 20-point plan proposed by Ukraine includes measures such as temporarily “freezing” the frontline, phased withdrawal of troops, and the formation of demilitarized zones. Kyiv, by intensifying diplomatic efforts, is demonstrating that international negotiations aimed at stopping the war are entering a new phase.
Dialogues with the US show that these communications are an important part of this process.
