New and strict penalties have been introduced in France for drivers who grossly violate traffic rules. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, drivers who significantly exceed the established speed limit will not only be fined but may also face imprisonment. Starting from December 29, 2025, drivers exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h will be punished with up to 3 months in prison and a fine of 3,750 euros.
Additionally, vehicles of such offenders will be confiscated, and their driving licenses may be revoked for up to 3 years. The French government emphasizes that the purpose of implementing these strict measures is to increase safety on the roads and reduce traffic accidents.
In conclusion, violating traffic rules in France will now be very costly. Speeding will not only result in fines but also the risk of losing freedom and the vehicle.
This new regulation is an important step aimed at strengthening discipline on the roads.
