
US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that positive developments are being observed in the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
After the meeting held in the state of Florida, Trump stated that the parties have come closer to a peace agreement, although some issues remain unresolved. The negotiations discussed the matter of what kind of security guarantees will be provided to Ukraine in the future.
Zelensky emphasized that an agreement has been reached in this regard. Trump noted that the issue is almost completely resolved, European countries are playing an important role in the process, and the US will provide assistance in this matter.
The future of the Donbas region remains a complex issue. While Russia wants to bring this region under its control, Ukraine is trying to maintain the current situation.
Trump stressed that no final decision has been made on this issue yet, but negotiations are ongoing. Before the meeting, Trump had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
European countries have also supported the peace talks, stating that the war should be ended as soon as possible. The parties announced that concrete results from the negotiations are expected in the coming weeks.
