Explosion in Switzerland: 40 people died
A tragic incident occurred in Switzerland on the eve of the New Year holiday. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

On January 1, an explosion took place in the ski resort area of Crans-Montana, located in the canton of Valais. A strong fire broke out following the explosion. The incident happened around 01:30 local time at a bar named Le Constellation.

It is reported that there were more than 100 people in the bar at that time. According to Reuters, citing the Swiss police, about 40 people died as a result of the explosion, and at least 115 were injured.

In a press conference held by the police, the exact number of victims was not specified, only noting that "several dozen" people died. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed deep condolences to the people of Switzerland on this tragedy.

According to official information, there are no Uzbek citizens among the injured. Investigations into the causes of the incident are ongoing.
