Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of attacks
On New Year's Day, Russia and Ukraine accused each other of targeting civilians. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

At least 24 people were killed in drone strikes on a hotel and a cafe in territories under Russian control. Ukraine reported attacks on energy infrastructure in seven regions and stated that one person was killed.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that over 200 drone attacks were carried out against Ukraine on New Year's Eve. According to him, energy and defense facilities were targeted.

He also said he is awaiting the timely delivery of defense equipment agreed upon with the United States. Vladimir Saldo, the governor of the Kherson region appointed by Russia, described the drone strikes as targeting civilians.

He reported that many people were killed and 50 were injured. Moscow regards these attacks as an attempt to conceal Ukraine's failures on the front lines.

The Ukrainian side regularly reports that civilians are being killed in Russian air strikes. It is also emphasized that civilians have been harmed in the city of Kherson.

These events occurred during peace talks under American supervision, further intensifying the conflict between the two sides.
